My Little Golfer

Kaelub likes to practice putting in the living room and the other day Eli saw him doing this and started chasing after the golf balls. Then a few days later I caught him next to Kaelub's golf bag. Now whenever Eli sees Kaelub take out his golf club, he gets a smile on his face and starts crawling toward Kaelub. Maybe we have a future golfer on our hands.

Play Date

On Friday I took Eli and we went to visit one of my friends who had a little boy about 2 months ago. He is so cute & looks just like his mom! We went swimming & Eli thought Teagan was so much fun. We are sad they are moving, but wish them good luck in Colorado!

Dada

Eli has been saying "dada" a lot lately, although mostly after we say it. But it's still fun to hear him talk away and it's fun to think he knows what he is saying. :) Eli loves his food, too. We have tried almost everything as far as vegies & fruits go. The only thing he didn't seem to snarf down was peas. (Thanks for passing that on Kaelub.) We sure miss my mom & Jill! It was so much fun to have them visit and we are excited to head up to Idaho next week. We can't wait to see all the babies that are so close in age.

New Discovery--TV Remote

Just chillin
If you look close you can see his 2 teeth.
Right after he crawled to it--he has a look on his face like he doesn't quite know what to do now.
He thinks it's the best toy ever!

The other day Eli discovered the TV remote and it seems to be his new favorite toy. If it's left on the floor, he will crawl over to it so fast! The first time this happened I thought I would just let him play with it for a few minutes, as long as he didn't put it in his mouth. Well, his neverending drool seemed to have leaked down through the buttons and when we went to turn on the TV nothing worked! (Toxic slobber) So we had to let the remote dry out for about a day before it started working again. Now it stays out of Eli's reach.

Artville

Yesterday my mom, Jill, Eli, & I went to the Mesa Children's Museum. They have an area called Artville for children 4 yrs and younger. Eli loved it! In the center they have an area for kids 2 yrs and younger with mirrors, toys, and lots of padding in case they tumble. :) Eli's favorite things were the mirrors and a toy car. He army crawled around chasing after it. We got there at the perfect time when they were just finishing disinfecting everything too, which was nice. And we had to go visit the music room with the piano so Eli could play us a song. (We're starting him early.) The look on his face in this picture was hilarious!

Army Crawl & First Teeth

For the past couple of weeks or so, Eli has been a drooling mess. And within the last few days we could feel some bumps on his bottom gums. Finally on Sunday we saw & felt two little teeth! Also on Sunday, Eli started doing the army crawl. There was a container of wipes that caught his eye, but they were too far for him to reach. So he started pulling himself over there with his arms. The picture of Eli in the Bumbo chair is after Kaelub put some Orajel on his gums. I guess he didn't like the cherry taste too much because he made the funniest face and noise afterwards.

Family Fun

On Saturday we all went shopping--thanks to my mom & Jill for spoiling us! :) We found some really cute things for Eli. Kaelub's favorite was a T-shirt that had a pirate ship on it. Then we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Eli sat in a high chair at a restaurant for the first time. He is getting so big! We looked at Kaelub's baby book to compare the other night and when he was 6 months he was 30 in. & only 14 lbs. so I guess I can't complain much about Eli's weight. He is way above his dad's mark!

4th of July

We have my mom & Aunt Jill visiting for a week and a half and Eli loves all the attention! They have loved watching Eli try to crawl, splash water everywhere during his bath, laugh when dad lifts him in the air, & all of the other crazy things he is doing right now. It is so much fun having them here and we enjoyed a BBQ today to celebrate the 4th.
