Happy B-Day Kaelub!

It's Kaelub's birthday today, so Eli & I decided to start the celebration early. While Kaelub was working, we had some fun with the balloons. Eli loves balloons and I laugh when he says the word since the ll's sound like y. I'm so surprised every time he plays with them that they never pop. As you can see from the pictures, he was very excited. In honor of Kaelub, I'll tell a few things I love about him. I love that he tries to make the bed, even though he doesn't quite get all the pillows put on right. He's a very hard worker---you would have to be to work outside in the Phoenix summers. He is a wonderful dad and Eli loves playing with him. (He can get Eli to laugh like nobody else can.) I love that Kaelub isn't afraid to cook--and he makes a lot of yummy things. And love that he takes pictures of Ava when she smiles to put as his background on his cell phone. Happy Birthday Kaelub!

This last week Ava has really been breaking out the smiles. This morning I was able to get a few on camera.

The Best Toy

I forgot to post about Eli's new toy from Grandma Joy. He loves going to the park and being outside, so my mom decided he needed to have something to play on in the back yard. It was fun watching Kaelub and my brother put it together, while having Eli and Bella right there wanting to play on it. This has been so nice to have! He plays on it almost every day, even when we do go to the park. It gets all that energy out of him and helps keep me sane. :)

Let's Play

Last week I was able to get a picture of Eli and Ava together, which is usually a rare occurance. (Eli pretty much still ignores Ava and just plays with his toys. Unless she starts crying--then he tries to put her pacifier in her mouth. And he likes to watch me change her diaper and say, "yucky" or "eeww".) But this day he went over to lay by her and he sang her songs. It was so cute.

Ava's Blessing

Today we blessed Ava. She was beautiful in her dress--the same dress I was blessed in. Kaelub gave such a sweet blessing to her about being a good example and loving the gospel. We were so lucky to have family from both sides come. Kaelub's brother and his family came Friday from Las Vegas, my family got here Saturday morning, and Kaelub's mom & Denny came Saturday afternoon. To celebrate the event we went to Tia Rosa's for dinner that night. Then today we had a yummy dinner with family and friends. (I was worried that she would start screaming during the blessing, but she was so calm and happy the whole meeting!)

Feeding the Ducks

Last week was so nice that we decided to go to the park with some friends. I knew Eli would love it because it had 2 of his favorite things: Ducks & toys to play on. The kids really liked feeding the bread to the ducks, and the girls especially liked eating the bread instead of throwing it out. They played on the toys for awhile and we ate some lunch. While eating lunch Eli decided to go feed the ducks some of his bread. He walked over to the dock and was just laughing away by himself. What a funny boy.
