Easter Fun

Kaelub's brother and his family came to stay with us for Easter weekend and the kids had so much fun. Saturday morning we went to a local park for an egg hunt. When we got there, they gave all the kids kites to fly. They also had a cupcake walk and I think both my kids won 2 times. We ate a snow cone while waiting for the egg hunt to start. Both kids had a blast gathering eggs to put in their baskets. Then while I stayed home with Ava to let her have a nap, everyone else went to a free swim day at Aquatots. They had a bounce house, dunk tank, balloon artists, face painting, and an inflatable water slide. I got there just as it was ending and I could tell the kids really had a good time. That night we went in to Mesa for the Easter Pageant. We had pretty good seats and it was neat to see it again and remember why we celebrate Easter. Eli even remembered parts from last year when we saw it. Easter morning the kids came downstairs to find their baskets filled with goodies. Ava just woke up and looked confused about it. But they loved the sidewalk chalk, bubbles, stickers, & bunny crackers! And as you might be able to see from the picture, I am pregnant & we are excited to be adding a little boy to our family around September 10th!

Aviation Day

A few weeks ago, I took the kids to the airport for their Aviation Day. They had a lot of different airplanes on display and some you could even go inside. We went in an old plane used in "Operation Torch" during the Allied Invasion of North Africa in 1942. It had curtains on the windows and the kids thought it was fun to go where the pilots would have sat. The kids really liked playing on the army helicopters. Eli even got his picture with the airport mascot, Gateway Gus.

Spring T-Ball

We signed Eli up for t-ball again and it was so fun to watch him improve from when he did it in the fall. He had a lot of fun again, even though Kaelub wasn't his coach this time around.
