Eli & Gracey
Eli, Gracey, and Bella
Kaelub & Eli at the park
It was Kaelub's birthday on the 22nd and we had his brother and his 2 kids here from Las Vegas. Kaelub couldn't ever remember his birthday being so close to Easter, but it worked out well that we could celebrate with family. His nieces are 5 yrs & 6 months and I've decided I'm so lucky that Eli is such a calm & happy baby. Don't get me wrong--I love the girls too, but I was so worn out by the time they left. I can see why my sister-in-law stayed in Las Vegas and sent them all here. :) I made Kaelub's choice for dinner on Sunday--he wanted turkey. And I even made my Aunt Jill's famous homemade rolls just for him. Kaelub loves chocolate cake, and I did a double layer one and I must say it was probably one of the best tasting cakes we have had in a long time! He is so spoiled. And I surprised him with the 3rd season of The Office--his favorite show. He didn't even have a clue, which for those of you who know him with gifts, he's so snoopy! I think he has somehow found out at least one gift he is getting for Christmas & birthday every year. We were hoping Eli would get the idea of how fun it is to eat rice cereal when he watched Bella eat her baby food, but he still hates when we try to feed him it. Oh well--I guess we will keep trying.

Dad's Chair
So I decided to take some pictures with Eli in his cute shirt my mom sent for him. We sat him in the chair that Kaelub calls "his chair". It's a leather club chair that is super deep--which fits Kaelub just right since he's so tall. Kaelub loves this chair--a little too much I think. :) It was just too funny to see Eli in this big chair looking like a mini Kaelub. And I got some cute smiles out of him. He might soon be taking over "dad's chair".

California Trip
Pretty flowers on Pier 39

Outside the Oakland temple--windy day!
Eli (3 mos) & Caden (6 mos)
So we finally went on a vacation other than Idaho! Thanks to Ann for getting married there and giving us a good excuse to go. I couldn't miss out on her big event. I mean, we've only been friends since before we could walk. :) And we also found a great deal on tickets--www.allegiantair.com. We met up with Ann & Jared and Jane & Seth in San Francisco, which was a lot of fun. Ann's wedding was Saturday in Oakland and then we went up to Sacramento to visit some of Kaelub's family. We saw a lot in the 3 days we were there and had such a good time. We can't wait to do it again!

Where We Are
A couple of friends recently informed me that I needed to start a blog, so I'll give it a try. Kaelub & I live in Queen Creek, Arizona, and have been here almost two years. He owns a landscape design company and will apply for PA school in the fall. I work as a hygienist 2 days a week and stay home with our little guy, Eli, the rest of the week. He is 3 1/2 months old and seems to change every day! Right now he loves to go on walks (we take full advantage of the nice weather before summer hits) and has discovered that his hands taste pretty good. The last few weeks have been super busy with Eli & I going to Idaho followed by a trip to California for all of us. I will be sure to post pictures!
