Ava's Blessing
Today we blessed Ava. She was beautiful in her dress--the same dress I was blessed in. Kaelub gave such a sweet blessing to her about being a good example and loving the gospel. We were so lucky to have family from both sides come. Kaelub's brother and his family came Friday from Las Vegas, my family got here Saturday morning, and Kaelub's mom & Denny came Saturday afternoon. To celebrate the event we went to Tia Rosa's for dinner that night. Then today we had a yummy dinner with family and friends. (I was worried that she would start screaming during the blessing, but she was so calm and happy the whole meeting!)

Feeding the Ducks
Last week was so nice that we decided to go to the park with some friends. I knew Eli would love it because it had 2 of his favorite things: Ducks & toys to play on. The kids really liked feeding the bread to the ducks, and the girls especially liked eating the bread instead of throwing it out. They played on the toys for awhile and we ate some lunch. While eating lunch Eli decided to go feed the ducks some of his bread. He walked over to the dock and was just laughing away by himself. What a funny boy. Kelsey took a few pics while we were there--one of these days I'll get one of her. :) Thanks Jessica, Kambry, Kelsey, & Brookie for the fun day!

4 Weeks Old
Just had to post a few cute pics I took of Ava this morning, since she is 4 weeks old. She's gotton so big and we love her cute little mouth and fuzzy hair (as Kaelub calls it). She is a really good sleeper at night and usually goes to bed at 8 or 9 and then wakes up every 3-4 hours, until 8 in the morning. Oh, and I did make the owl onsie--got the idea from a blog but can't remember which one. And then decided to make a matching flower too.

What A Day
Lately Eli has been getting into things while I'm feeding Ava. I guess he's figured out I can't do much to stop him, and yesterday was one of those what's next days. First, he went upstairs and I couldn't hear any noise from him, which is a bad sign. As soon as I got to the top of the stairs I knew from the smell what he got into this time. He somehow got my bottle of nail polish remover, opened the lid, and dumped it all over the carpet in my room. That stuff is so strong! So I put him in his room and cleaned up the remover from the carpet. When I went to get him out of his room, their was another smell that greeted me. One from the diaper. And it was on his fingers and he had used it as art on the wall! This was the first time he had ever done this, and even though I've heard lots of stories about kids doing this I was hoping we wouldn't have the pleasure of experiencing it with Eli. So I had to try not to gag as I cleaned up mess #2, with Ava crying in her swing, and Eli saying yucky over and over. (If it was so yucky, you'd think he wouldn't have made the mess to begin with.) It was quite the day! Oh, and here are a couple pictures from last Sunday. I took Eli on a walk, just the two of us, and Ava snoozing on the couch. Love it!

2 Weeks Old
We took Ava in for her 2 week appointment and were surprised at how much she has grown already! She gained a pound in 1 week! Here are her stats:
7 lbs 13 oz
20 3/4 in long
We made her appointment for 8:20 to try and avoid a long wait time & hoping there would only be a few other people in the waiting room. It was a little crazy getting Eli, Ava, and myself ready. I don't know how you all do it with more kids! So she is healthy and getting bigger, and my friend Kelsey even came over to do a newborn photo shoot of her. Thanks Kelsey! I can't wait to post some pictures she took--they turned out so cute. Here's one my mom took of her all worn out after pictures.
