So after an eventful few weeks which included our computer crashing, trying to get all pictures & videos off the hard-drive, paying way too much to have Geek Squad burn us a DVD of them & finding out the DVD was actually blank when I went to view them, getting them to burn us a second DVD that actually had our pictures & video on it, and finally ending up having to buy a new computer, I decided my blog is really the most I do as far a journaling and I was falling way behind. I know it's only been a few weeks, but Eli does so many things I want to remember down the road and this is the best way for me to do that. Plus I can vent about the computer crisis. We just took Eli in for his 9 month doctor visit so here are the stats and tricks he has been up to:
1. Weight: 19 1/2 lbs (30%) He's definitely no jumbo tank. :)
2. Height: 30 in. (90%)
3. He is so fast!!! He can crawl up the stairs in seconds, but he hasn't caught on yet on how to get back down.
4. He pulls himself up on anything. Couch, chairs, laundry hamper, bathtub, cabinets, highchair, etc.
5. He loves, loves taking a bath. When he hears me turn on the water he crawls right over and stands up next to the tub with a big grin.
6. He has an obsession with the drapes hanging in front of the sliding back door, so we have to pull them up on a chair out of his reach. He also loves the blinds, so we have to keep those up as well. So much for privacy!
7. He eats, and eats, and eats. We have started trying little pieces of banana, bread, pasta. He loves to feed himself the puffs (kind-of like Cheerios). And he now eats all the baby food we try--even peas.
8. He says "dada", dad, & "mama" now, although his "mama" sounds like "nana".
9. He loves to hold onto our hands or fingers and walk. Sometimes he even holds onto his toy that has wheels and walks behind it.

Yeah for Eli!!!! Nine month stats looks pretty good. :)
I'm glad you rescued your photos and videos. I would have been devastated!
Saw your blog/name on Heidi's site and wanted to say hi. I am new to blogging and I do it for the same reasons to journal and to stay in touch. We've had terrible computer problems in the past - ending up getting a new computer too!! Not fun. Especially the cost. We were on the phone one night for over 3 hours to save our existing computer with some guy hired by dell from the 'phillipines' he did know what he was doing, thank goodness. A good firewall, security and spyware is what I hear is the thing for protection. I love that the girls love you in 'Activity Days' I heard the stake activity was really nice. I feel like I don't get to talk with anyone when I am in Primary! Your little guy is a cutie!Jen Johnson www.johnsonbunch01.blogspot.com
